The HCG diet protocol, created by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons, is aimed at losing extreme weight in a short span of time. The diet plan includes daily dose of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) hormone, either in the form of injection or oral drops, and an extremely strict 500 calorie diet.Phases of this Diet Plan

The three main phases of the diet plan are:

Phase 1 – During the first two days of the diet plan, you are allowed to eat whatever you want and as much of as you like. Yes, the list includes bacon cheeseburgers, pastries, ice cream, cheesecake, fatty meats, and fried foods as well. The ‘Loading phase’ is designed to prepare the body and store the fat and energy required for Phase 2.
Phase 2-During the three weeks long phase 2, a very low calorie diet of 500 calorie per day is allowed. People sometimes get too scared of extreme hunger thoughts. However, it is claimed that no starvation is involved. Instead, HCG will help people win over their food cravings and pass this phase without any difficulty.
Phase 3– Purpose of Phase 3 or the Stabilization Phase of 21 days (3 weeks) is to stabilize the new weight. In this phase, you can stop HCG intake and eat anything except starch and sugar.
Weight loss process: What to eat and what not?

Breakfast-Breakfast should consist of a cup of black coffee or tea of any size. Sugar is not allowed; however, calorie-free sweeteners like saccharin or stevia are good alternatives. No salmon, eel, tuna, herring, or dried or pickled fish are allowed.
Lunch -Lunch should include each of the following items:
100 grams (weighed raw) of one of the meats mentioned – beef, chicken breast, lobster, crab, shrimp or veal
One serving of one of the following vegetables- asparagus, beet greens, celery, spinach, chard, chicory, green salad, tomatoes, onion, cauliflower, cabbage, radish, fennel or cucumber
One breadstick (grissino) or Melba toast
One of these fruits- apple, orange, a handful of strawberries, half a grapefruit
Dinner-Dinner will be the same as lunch such as 100 grams of protein, 1 vegetable, 1 fruit and a bread stick or melba toast
Drinks -The only drinks allowed aretea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water, but they may be taken in any quantity and at all times. In fact, the diet plan recommends the dieter to drink about 2 liters of these fluids per day.
Additional Information

Do not exceed 100 grams of meat per lunch or dinner
Measure the quantity of raw meat, not after cooking
Remove chicken breasts from the bones before cooking
Grilling and boiling are the preferred methods for cooking meat
2 small apples are not acceptable in exchange for 1 apple
Do not skip meals
Do not use creams, lotions, or moisturizers except for oil-less moisturizer
Remember exercise is not necessary for the diet to work
Pick only one type of vegetable or fruit to eat per lunch or dinner; do not go for combinations.
